Cameroon has banned burqas in the Far North region after two women dressed in the religious garments blew themselves up last week in a suspected Boko Haram attack, a local governor said on Wednesday.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday approved the appointments of new service chiefs and National Security Adviser for the country.
Their appointments, which was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, followed Buhari’s sacking of the former occupants of the offices earlier in the day. 

Soldiers Accidentally Kill Electricity Worker Mistaken For Boko Haram Militants Along Maiduguri/Damaturu Road

A team of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) accompanied by military escort who were on a mission to repair broken transmission line near Benesheikh along Maiduguri/Damaturu road were shot by soldiers, leading to the death of one of the TCN staff members, while two soldiers who were escorting them and another staff of TCN sustained injuries.
