The wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. Joseph Mbu was kidnapped yesterday near her house in the Satellite Town close to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Cross River State, South-South, Nigeria.

The Security Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade, Mr. Ajude Ngaji confirmed that combined efforts of the police, DSS and other agencies helped in the rescue.
Mr. Ngaji also disclosed that they had been able to arrest two of the kidnappers who were being interrogated.
