Nigeria Police Confirm Kidnap Of 3 Women In Kaduna State, Nigeria

The Nigeria Police have confirmed the kidnap of three housewives at Dorayi village in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

The Kaduna State Police command’s spokesman, Mr. Zubairu Abubakar, said on Thursday that the women were kidnapped on Sunday.

Abubakar said that the police were on the trail of the kidnappers and had intensified surveillance in the area.

He urged the family members to cooperate with the police to ensure the safe release of the women.
According to him, the kidnappers were yet to make any demand for ransom contrary to rumours that they had demanded for N10 million.

A source in the village had said that the armed kidnappers numbering about 10, took away the women on Sunday at about 12.15am.

The suspects, according to the source, also took away a new motorcycle.

The source gave the names of the abducted women as Maimuna Abubakar, 25, Mairo Hussaini, 20, and Hauwa Ibrahim, 20.
