Gunmen
on Saturday killed three Policemen and three civilians during an attack on some
expatriates working for TRIACTA construction company in Buba Shango of
Jakadafari district in Gombe, the state capital.
A
security source told The Cable that the assailants trailed the workers from a
construction site to their quarters at about 9 pm, adding that the deceased
lost their lives while trying to repel the attack.
According
to the source, “Someone must have given them information, because they trailed
the workers from a site where they were excavating coal to their quarters,
opposite Ganja School, here in the state capital.
“Three
policemen and three local guards were killed during a gun battle. They were not
kidnappers because even after overpowering the security personnel, they did not
abduct the workers.
“One
cannot really say if they were armed robbers or Boko Haram members,” the source
added.
