Okorocha Urges Nigerians To Unite In The Fight Against Terror

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has called on all Nigerians irrespective of their political and religious affiliations to come together and fight terrorism in the country.
The Governor stated this while commissioning the new office complex built for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Owerri the Imo state capital.

He also said the issue of security should not be left in the hands of the security operatives, insisting that “fighting terrorism is a collective fight that all Nigerians must engage in”, urging  all security operatives to remain steadfast and patriotic even amidst the security challenges facing the country.

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ade Abolurin, assured the people of the state of NSCDC’s commitment and support to tackle insecurity and protection of lives and property in the state.

He also enjoined other security agencies at the federal and state levels to cooperate with the NSCDC to tackle security challenges.

The Imo State governor, while addressing the gathering, expressed sadness over the spate of terrorism and insecurity challenges facing the nation.
