Lagos Oba Kidnapped, Abductors Killed Security Guard, Shot Wife

Armed men reportedly abducted a first class traditional ruler in Lagos, Oba Yushau Goriola Oseni, the Oniba of Ibaland, killed his security guard and shot his wife.
The gunmen, suspected to be from Niger Delta, stormed the monarch’s palace at Iba area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria around 11:30pm on Saturday and took the monarch away, escaping through the waterways.

Anxiety Grips Calabar Residents As kidnapping, Armed Robbery Escalate; N250m Ransom Paid To Free Kidnapped Expatriates

The Guardian Newspaper reports that palpable anxiety and fear have gripped residents of Calabar, the Cross River State capital sequel to escalation of kidnapping, robbery and other criminal activities.
As a result of the heightened insecurity and criminal activities, scared investors and business operatives are said to close shops early while some others plan to relocate from the State.

Kidnappers on Rampage in Nigeria As Gunmen Kidnap Two Kogi Judiciary Workers And Two Ranking Kwara Politicians

Two staff of the Kogi State judiciary were on Thursday May 19, abducted by gunmen Suspected to be kidnappers and taken to an unknown destination.The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that Mr Timothy Salihu of Upper Area Court, Lokoja and Mr Aliyu Okeme, a retired Inspector of Area Court were abducted at gun-point.

Gunmen Kidnap University of Calabar Lecturer, Two Other Students
