Police Discover Buried Arms, IEDs In Bauchi State




The state’s police spokesman, Mohammed Haruna (a deputy of police) said the lethal weapons were discovered on Wednesday at about 4:30pm following a tip-off.


The PPRO said the police Explosives Ordinance Unit of the police Command had successfully recovered and rendered safe a heavy-wired IED gas cylinder buried in a building site located at Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) Quarters in Azare.

“Other items recovered at the site include 37 rounds double-barrel cartridge while some hoodlums occupying the building for five months now have been chased away,” said DSP Haruna.
