Pakistan Announces A National Plan To Fight Terrorism, Says Terrorists’ Days Are Numbered

Pakistani political parties reached an agreement Wednesday to set up a special military tribunal court to handle terrorism cases in the country. The agreement is part of a national action plan to fight terrorism, which comes a week after the deadly attack on a military school in Peshawar that killed 149 people, 133 of them children.

Jordanian Pilot Captured by Islamic State After Warplane Crashes in Syria

Islamic State militants captured a Jordanian pilot after his plane went down during operations by the U.S.-led coalition against the group on Wednesday in northeastern Syria, Jordan’s military said. The Raqqa Media Center, which is sanctioned by Islamic State, claimed the group shot the plane down with antiaircraft guns and the pilot ejected near the city of Raqqa—the capital of a province by the same name that is the seat of Islamic State’s self-proclaimed caliphate.
