Niger Delta Militancy: Military Removes Operation Delta Safe Commander, Appoints Replacement

The Defence Headquarters has appointed a new commander for the Operation Delta Safe in the Niger Delta. He is Rear Admiral Apochi Ogabu Suleiman.

Military Launches “Operation Delta Safe” In The Niger Delta

The Nigerian military has scrapped its joint military task force in the restive Niger Delta.

The task force, nicknamed Operation Pulo Shield, is to be replaced by “Operation Delta Safe”, the director of defense information, said in a statement.
