Preamble: Anyone up-to-date with the
security situation and dynamics in Nigeria will attest that the country is grappling with multifaceted, unrelenting
threats to national security. One of such pervasive security threat is an embarrassing
kidnap for ransom and extortion (KRE) pandemic. Toddlers, elderly citizens,
