A 90-year-old woman has been kidnapped in Ogwuashi–Uku, Delta State, even as the state police command said, on Monday, that it was not leaving any stone unturned to get her released.
The six-man armed gang had stormed the residence of the woman at 1, Adio Street, Azungwu in the town at about 8.00 p.m. and whisked her away to an unknown destination in a Mitsubushi L300 without registration number.
Tribune Online gathered that the abductors were demanding an undisclosed amount as ransom from family members.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, who confirmed the incident on Monday, said efforts were on to rescue the woman.
